Training for Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse and Health Care Professionals

About this Event

The Idaho Lives Project is pleased to bring back suicide prevention, assessment and treatment expert, M. David Rudd, PhD, to provide his suicide assessment and treatment training. The training will include lecture, clinical demonstrations, case examples and Q&A. Dr. Rudd will provide training specific to behavioral health providers, health care professionals and college students in social work, psychology, counseling and medical fields of study. Dr. Rudd will present three virtual, 6-hour trainings. Please select one training date as they are the same training on each of the three days. The primary goal of this workshop is to provide the participant with the essential tools needed to accurately assess suicide risk, manage challenging scenarios and provide treatment in an effective fashion.

During the training there will be a 30 minute lunch break. Six continuing education credits will be offered to those who would like them. A certificate of attendance will be sent following the training. Attendance is required to receive a certificate.

This training is funded by the Garrett Lee Smith State/Tribal Youth Suicide Prevention and Early Intervention Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
