SoulCollage & Creative Journaling: Methods for Self-Understanding

February 11 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for a joyous day of in-person connection and creativity!

This workshop is open to anyone interested in coming together in an intimate group of 8 participants and experiencing and learning more about these creative practices. **For therapists and helping professionals, we will also discuss how you could assist your clients using these specialized techniques. Certificates with 5 contact hours will be awarded to professionals.

Learn about the practice and clinical applications of SoulCollage® and Creative Journaling as not only creative approaches for personal awareness and development, but also as powerful projective tools and psychological intervention in treatment. SoulCollage® is an expressive method designed to help individuals strengthen the often-muffled inner voices that live within each of us. Using the artistic/visual technique of SoulCollage®, the rational left brain is bypassed, and the unconscious becomes visible. This is a meditative, creative process that can be used in a personal self-care practice, in groups, or individual sessions.

The Creative Journal Method uses non-dominant writing as a tool to access the wisdom of our inner voices and the messages coming through the cards we create. This writing technique also bypasses the rational left brain and gives us access to a spontaneous, playful, voice of Inner Wisdom.

These creative tools are used in a variety of clinical settings with a range of populations such as eating disorders, trauma, couples and family work, addictions, etc.

Those who complete the workshop will:

*Define the SoulCollage ® process using the four suits in a SoulCollage ® deck

*Personally experience the SoulCollage® process through card-making

*Gain a basic understanding of the Creative Journaling Method

*Identify therapeutic situations which are likely to respond well to the SoulCollage® and Creative Journaling interventions

*Gain practical information regarding materials and other resources for SoulCollage® and the

Creative Journaling Method
