Hello! Originally from the Philadelphia area, I relocated to Portland in 2002. In addition to my 20+ years of experience, my practice is informed by my familiarity with the latest science and research in psychology. I have provided therapy and support to a diverse set of people facing a range of challenges over the years. I have also worked for many years supervising and training other therapists. I’m very familiar with what works and doesn’t work in helping people. I offer a warm, friendly, and attentive style. My primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is a mindfulness-based approach. Its efficacy has been scientifically demonstrated, and I have seen great results with the people I work with. Rather than focus on diagnoses and symptoms, ACT is about identifying where we get stuck in life, finding a way forward, and reconnecting to who and what we care about. It’s about creating and living a life you love.
