Dear Wellness Community,

With two months left in the calendar year, we are doubling down on our 2019 goals and solidifying our strategy for 2020. It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is now upon us, but we are feeling a joyful energy in our community that echoes the spirit of the season and empowers us to keep pushing forward with our mission.

This has been a transformational year for us at Soul Being, as we adjusted our business model, shifted our value proposition to better align with the needs of our community, navigated leadership changes, and began executing a growth strategy that creates a position for us that is both strong and sustainable. As we focused fiercely on these efforts, our engagement with our community necessarily took a backseat. This was hard on us, primarily because YOU, our amazing peers, mentors, colleagues, and collaborators, are at the core of our mission, and have truly inspired all of the blood, sweat, and tears we have poured into this business.

We are extremely excited that our execution of these goals will allow us to implement a strategy for 2020 to grow our team in a manner that supports ample community engagement and outreach. We will be reaching out early in the year to request feedback and your “wishlist” for the value and tools provided by our organization… so start brainstorming how we can best add value to your practice, and please stay tuned for our communications in the coming weeks and months!

Events & Announcements

• We’ve published a Healthcare Savings Account (HSA) reference guide specifically geared toward wellness professionals that we would like to bring to your attention, as it could be helpful to your business strategy. A quick <10 minute read, we’ve attempted to boil down the basics of the HSA mechanism and why it is relevant and important for all preventative healthcare practitioners to understand. • A huge THANK YOU to all who participated in this year’s Anthem Health Fair in South Portland, ME on October 10! It was our second year co-hosting this event with the Anthem team, and we had over 100 participants. The feedback from the Anthem team and employees was overwhelmingly enthusiastic, and we personally witnessed new clients being acquired, much education sharing, and many fruitful connections being made. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Grand Opening of IHCM!

Ribbon Cutting and Open House Ceremony to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Integrative Medical Center:  Offering Whole Health for the Whole Family

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:30 P.M. Integrative Health Center of Maine (IHCM) will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new medical center at 15 Sky View Drive, Cumberland, Maine, 04110.  A Ribbon Cutting event will occur at 5:30 P.M. After many years of planning and construction, IHCM is proud to offer “whole health for the whole family” in an ecological-friendly, warm, bright, inviting space featuring a large community room for group functions.  Established in 2005, IHCM is a diverse group of practitioners sharing a common mission: to help their patients achieve true wellness and health using evidence-based conventional and natural treatments. With the opening of this new facility IHCM is able to expand this mission by offering a public space for education, group sessions, a teaching kitchen, movie screenings, and more.  IHCM hopes to create a mini “blue zone” in its community, improving longevity, happiness, and public health. Calling for CONTENT! Would you like publish an article on your area of expertise? We are seeking article submissions for the Soul Being website that educate both your fellow professionals and prospective clients regarding a particular topic on health, preventative medicine, or general wellness. This is a great way to promote your practice and raise awareness in the community!

REMINDER:

Those of you in the Portland area may have noticed that our physical location has closed for the time being. As we have expanded geographically outside of Maine, we found that a physical space was not serving our evolving goals of maximizing the potential of this community.  We have been blessed with organic growth that expands well beyond state lines, and we want to continue to foster this growth.
